If Margarito was the only big matchup then maybe he'd consider, but since he has options for other big fights he should take them and let public perception take care of his loss against Margarito.

Mayweather won't fight Cotto and Cotto isn't going to go out of his way to fight what is now a junior middleweight. The Mosley rematch is a possibility but.. I'm just saying Mexico would be a Mecca Event!

The only reason I think Cotto should do it is b/c it will be the only way to truly agenge his loss to Margarito. If he waits for Margarito's lisence to be approved it could be a year or more from now. If Cotto beats him then, people will say it wasn't the same Margarito. At the end of the day I know this fight isn't going down in Mexico but if it did that would rock.

I agree that a rematch would be the goods, but look at the meat here, a PR/Mexico rivalry bout taking place IN Mexico. It's hard for me to believe Cotto could get a fair shake even if we ruled out potential cheating again. Top Rank should try some place neutral like Canada instead.

I sure wish he would to get that revenge. Margarito is a wounded duck now. Cotto would beat him in my opinion. However, I don't think the fight will happen.
