I believe him broken ribs taken time to heal even if you get medical attention. I broke two ribs once and two months after I broke them if I sneezed hard enough, it would feel like you were being stabbed. And I spent 4 days in the hospital and was taking it easy for those months. I can't begin to imagine how they would have felt if I was training for a fight.

Wait, when Mayorga says he hasn't gotten X-rays on his ribs, then he's basically saying he hasn't gone to the doctor, right? But isn't it mandatory for pro boxers in big fights that after a KO loss they have to go to the hospital that same night for observation / treatment? Wouldn't they have discovered something wrong with the ribs then?

And as a professional boxer, aren't you supposed to have an occassional health check-up? I mean, I know we're talking about The Matador here, who smokes cigs, wields machetes during entertaining interviews and has a crazy overall life. But someone in his camp would surely get him to a doctor if he had a persistent injury, don't you think?

Whatever is really going on, I hope he's alright. And, based on his past performances, he deserves way more than a $100,000 for one fight. They guy paid dues.

Also, I believe he's not afraid. He's proven himself being in tough fights. I hate it when fans say a fighter, who has been in several battles, is chicken. It's like boxers can't win with some boxing fans. If he doesn't fight one guy then overnight he's scared of his own shadow. Get into too many wars (which the fans love) and get seriously hurt, then the fighter is a dumbass with no sense, who should of quit before he was ahead.

It's a tough business, to say the least.

Say what you want about Mayorga...but he's no coward. That motherf**ker is willing to take a punch. And he can dish it out too. He may too flashy @ times, talk trash a bit too much, and act outlandishly towards his opponents. But he's a fighter.

Just because he rubs u in a wrong way, should be no reason to hate on him, or campaign against him. He's a two-time champion. Besides, he's an awesome gatekeeper. If your ass can't get Mayorga, your ass don't belong in boxing....because how do you intend to contend against those demons up top.

I like Angulo though. He's the dark horse of the sport. He can punch hard, very durable guy with an awesome demeanor. I like to see him against that soul-less dane, Kessler. It would be a good fight. Same build, same height, same weight class. Besides, they won't talk **** @ each other, they would just fight.
