Margarito, and a SAD, SAD day for boxing.........

Why would a fighter do this to himself? Why would a trainer tarnish himself and the young fighter who was suppose to be him "son". This is a sad day for boxing lads; whether you are Puerto Rican, Mexican, a Brit, Armenian, Pinoy, White, Black, or Green..........this day is a sad day. Boxing has witnessed the premature end of the most exciting active boxer. His "punch me and I'll punch you, and lets see who falls first" attidude made him big and also killed him but we loved it. We loved watching it, we couldn't stop watching it........Love him or hate him Margarito made you buy tickets or order a PPV or put on HBO to watch his fight. Loaded handwraps or not he fought like he had no regard for human life. He fought til he would make you quit (Cotto) or he would quit (Mosley). Margarito, I will miss you and some posters might come into this thread and bash me and you, but if they look deep down in their "boxing" soul; they too will admit, watching your fights was exciting and watching your style was one of the million reasons they loved boxing. I'm just sitting here wondering why? Why Capitello? Why Margo?

I respect you, you always have some interesting posts........dont you think boxing took a hit with, not only the loss of one of its most exciting fighters, but also all the bad publicity?

you find cheating in any sport and boxing certainly isnt any different in that regard. besides, most of this is being overshadowed by the whole alex rodriguez steroid use scandal. boxing will be fine. as far as the haters go, mexican boxers arent going anywhere and neither are their fans. you win some you lose some, that's how the sport goes. only the phony fans abandon the sport.
