Once and for all: "Coat-oh" or "Cott-oh"?

This went unnoticed in another thread, but I'll pose the quezzie to you Ricans out there...

I pronounce it "Cott-oh" with a short O, to rhyme with "lot" or "bot". I keep hearing it differently though, as in "Coat-oh" with a long O to rhyme with "boat" or "moat".

Which is it?
