    former WBO welterweight champ jose luis lopez ?

    does anyone know what the hell happened to jose luis lopez ? i think the last time i seen him was on solo boxeo a couple of years ago..he was a beast when he wanted to be and its a shame that he is throwing his talent away.the guy happens to be like my favorite fighter that fell off the map

    If its the same guy that I am thinking of.. he was a ****ing beast... I remember when he dropped Quartey and should have had the fight won... damn good fighter...

    Remember they couldnt find him for two weeks and found him at some English womens house... that was funny..

        yeah man he was a beast that should haved beaten james page back in 1998 for the wba belt and remember reading an article a while back that said he was recovering from an addiction to *******..the guy should haved been up there with all the great mexican fighters.

          Jose Louis Lopez...the biggest waste of talent I've seen this side of Ricardo Williams...oops, and Ike Ibeabuchi.

          That guy could just never get into shape. Fast hands, incredible power and a granite chin...all for naught.

            yeah man the guy had talent for days and he was too busy surfing and partying man...he should haved finished the bazooka quartey off and i dont care how bad ass felix trinidad was at welterweight i think jose luis lopez could haved killed his ass at 147

              Part of Lopez's problem was that he was too good for his own good. Quartey took the fight because he couldn't get any other and wanted to prove he was the best. It nearly cost him.

                  Yes...forced Campas to quit...and that was a prime version of Yori Boy - not the faded version Vargas fought or the even worse Campas Oscar beat.
