Ishe Smith willing to step in to face Angulo

ISHE SMITH CHALLENGES ANGULO ON SHORT NOTICE
    By Ishe Smith

    Dear Alredo Angulo,

The past two weeks I have sat by and watched opponent after opponent fall out. Now with 4 days notice, once again another opponent falls out. I was ready, willing able to fight you months ago and still am on FOUR DAYS NOTICE. After listening to his last nationally televised interview, the whole world knows how your promoter can't stand disloyal people. Since my unfortunate falling out with Mr. Shaw, I have attempted to reconcile our previous differences to no avail.

I have apologized to him publicly on this website and unless my advisor is lying to me, we have offered this man the opportunity to promote me for the next year for the opportunity to fight Mr. Angulo on VERY SHORT notice. I don't have a promoter so making a fight with me would take all but 5 minutes. I seriously believe that had I lost my last fight I would have been getting calls from all over the United States to become an opponent. Your promoter knows very well what I am capable of doing when I am at my best, and he also knows that Eddie Mustafa Muhammad is a great trainer who will bring out the best in me, so I don't blame him at all for not even mentioning my name. Maybe one day we can mix it up, or maybe your promoter will continue to keep you away from me for no apparent reason, including regretable "disloyalty", which I totally understand!

    Ishe "Sugar Shay" Smith

They are not going to find anyone better at short notice - the HBO managemrnt are fools if they don't accept Smith's offer.

ohhh Ishe is so boriiiing. I respect him for wanting to take the fight on such short notice, but I would definately prefer Kassim Ouma or someone who will actually make a good fight. its not that I dont respect skill and enjoy watching it, but Ishe just holds back so much when he fights, and makes the other AND himself look worse because of it.

not much choice now though, is there...

Weren't we all just talking about this like a week or so ago?

Ishe is going to make the fight uneventful...just a total 180 from where it was with Mayorga. Maybe by some stroke of luck he'll decide that he could actually win the fight if he throws a lil more.

Ishe Smith is better than bringing in a bum - he will make it a competitive fight. But HBO may turn him down because they are afraid Angulo will lose...

To me, the least entertaining fight is a mismatch, so from this fan's perspective, Smith is their best option. I just subscribed to HBO Canada, so I want to see some good, competitive fights.

Angulo needs to be able to defeat defensive fighters like Smith and Spinks, if he's ever going to be a champion, so it's a good test for him.

The Joel Julio fight was not boring at all to me. If Angulo pushes Ishe it'll still be a good scrap. HBO is scared to have their guy lose, simple as that.

This fight won't happen. Shaw would be ****** to match a prospect like Angulo against a veteran fighter like Smith with a difficult style on a few days notice.
