As you said, really strong physically too.

Reminds me that his fight with Arguello was a very good one as well.
    Yeah true.

I think he run out of gas against Arguello , because he went off like a train. That was an excellent fight though i agree.

I cant believe the pace Mancini could fight at he was like a punching machine.

I think it was a combination of him losing steam and Arguello coming on strong, Macini hadn't been past 12 at that point and Arguello was a notoriously slow starter who got better as the fight went on.

        Yeah, really good fighter.

You got me started LOL if i remember rightly, i don't think there was anything wrong with his stamina. I think the fight changed round dramatically when Ray Mancini went down in the 12th round, and he never seemed to recover from that.

You are right there i mean how many times has Arguello knocked people out late or come on really strong. Argullo could take you out in the first or the last round

Your probably right. There was deffo some kinda shift happening in the fight around that point.

Yeah, Arguello knocked out quite a few fighters late and you're definitely right, Arguello could knock an opponent out early and late, his power stayed with him throughout his fights.

Two fights that come to mind immediately are his fights with Ruben Castillo, Ruben Olivares, what a fight Ruben Olivares vs Alexis Arguello was.

What ive noticed with Arguello is he did not like lateral movement and he was not that good at fighting on the inside, because he seem liked more room to get his shots off. I think Mancini,Olivares,Pryor all gave him trouble fighting on the inside, but only Pryor was able to avoid Alexis's power, because Pryor had a little subtle move where he would move off to the side after punching etc.

One thing Arguello was, was very very consistent and he could punch hard to the body and hand.
