That whole deal was because a ST. Pete Times reporter by the name of John Cotey got pissed because I didnt tell him Nate was in jail. I had written a press release when I pulled Nate off the October card, and had forwarded that release to King's office for approval. DURING the period of about 6 days it took for King's office to approve the release, Nate had been arrested. And I sent out the release anyways, because it was still accurate. The arrest had nothing to do with pulling Nate off the card. But when Cotey found out that I sent him the release without mentioning that Nate was in jail, he got pissed thinking I had given him a bum release. Thats what that crap was about.

Ok, but then why were the charges dropped? So let's assume Nate already knew about his fight being off and he had screamed at her/beat her/whatever he did. He was arrested for Domestic Abuse. Why were the charges dropped then?

Which is why he was on HBO PPV on an undercard vs Kid Diamond. Also he fought Joel Casamayor without any belt. Same with Juan Diaz, but he was a mandatory there.

The arguement was over the lost revenue from him not fighting on that October card, and the fact that it would probably have been Jan or Feb before another opportunity for a fight would present itself.

You have to understand how "domestic" arrests work down here. Pretty much how it goes, is if the woman says she was hit or something, then the guy is arrested, no questions asked. And then the DA sorts it all out later. Well as the DA looked at the facts of the case, nothing seemed to add up, and after interviewing the "victim", all charges were dropped.

Anyway, the reason why I posted the vid was just showing the fight that poor Horus was mentioning. Nothing more. HOWEVER, dropping your hands in front of a world class opponent like Peden, well, you saw what happened. Not a smart move.
