Green Announces Return, Mundine Rematch at 175

Mate, nobody cares inside Australia either. Mundine just needs to **** off or fight someone worth fighting for once. Why this is happening again is beyond me.... Well, actually for five million or so I would be doing it again without question. Well, really, when it comes down to it, if I didn't give a **** about my boxing legacy or fans I would be happy to do what Mundine is. Take pointless fight after pointless fight against has-beens and never-rans and charge a mint for each fight and become a massive multi-millionaire while doing nothing.

Anyway, why he is finally going to do this rematch after moving all the way down to middleweight, supposedly to get the bigger fights and names, is just beyond me. He is more likely to get KO'd up at LHW and if he does it will be against a guy that was never good enough the first time around and got dominated and it will just make Mundine look that much worse overall.

Although he is still making a lot of money he is absolutely throwing his boxing legacy down the drain with every single fight he has taken since the Kessler fight. I mean Taylor? He was only ever good down at WW and even then he wasn't very good. He keeps crapping on about getting the big names but then fight after fight keeps going past and not one is ever bigger than a local Aussie guy that has never won anything outside of here. He's not actually that bad a fighter and would stand a chance against any titlist around his weight but he's just too scared or doesn't care. I don't know which. I think everyone just wants him to **** off already though. He's boring.

What everyone does have a problem with, obviously apart from you, is that he never fights anyone, keeps saying he will, and charges hideously exorbitant prices for meaningless fights that no one cares about.

Has the Sturm fight been signed yet? No. As far as we've all heard, he has been going to fight every top fighter in every division for the last fifty years. The guy's a joke. I always hoped he would get something done, but after so many years of waiting and seeing him fighting bum after bum and pointless fight after pointless fight, it really gets useless pretending.

Nothing, but fight domestic b grade bums. he had a chance to fight on de la hoyas undercard, which would of been massive world exposure but instead he took a fight with shannon taylor a junkie who hasnt been competive since the late 90s. I think you're still missing the point mate. After all these years and all the waiting and all this crap about how he's going to be fighting the best and the biggest names out there, the best it still comes down to is Sturm and Bika? You've got to be kidding us?

He should be fighting those guys as warm up bouts for the big fights, not as the big fights. Calzaghe, who supposedly fought nothing but bums all career, used Bika as a warm up fight. Now Mundine is going to fight Bika as one of his career highlights?

Green hasn't done anything, he's not some big champ that has come back from the massive dominating loss to Mundine years earlier to suddenly rule a division. There is absolutely no point to any of it. Its' the same with most of this guy's fights. Expliain why he bothered with Soliman again? He blasted him out and knocked him out for the first time in his career. Why would he ever need to fight him again?

Who the hell was Hamdan? The guy had lost his last fight and three out of his last six. Or that other hack he fought recently? Pintos?

He's 34 or something and still going on about fighting the biggest guys out there and yet his biggest match of the last five or so years has been Green. Danny green? His biggest achievement was getting a DQ loss to Beyer. Mundine owns a belt and could have been getting fights like Bute, Froch, J. Taylor, Lacy, Wright, Kessler again, etc etc, but he's been fighting guys like Acosta, Soliman twice, Clavero, Kim, Nievas, Hamdan and now the 36 year old, natural Jr welterweight/welterweight Shannon Taylor. Why? That's all people would like to know. Why? He is supposedly one of three guys with a major belt but he gets away with doing nothing and yet he keeps rabbiting on about being the best and fighting the best.

Did you know that even though he has been a titlist for the last two years and one of the top fighters in his division for at least five, six, seven maybe eight years, he has not fought another world champion in any way, whether former or current since Kessler about five years ago? Even though he has been the WBA champion, not one of his fights has been against a guy that has ever held a world title. His last eleven, and now twelve with Taylor, fights have been against guys that had never held a title. Apart from Green, who won a title and retired in a joke fight a few years later anyway, none of them have ever gone on to either.
