That bum you speak of just took over the entire division that your boy has been in for years in about 6 months. If hes man enuogh let him stay and fight so you can enjoy seeing your boy "destroyed" and "demolished" lol. I think your just bitter because ever since vics arrival to 115 montiel has been irrelevant.

    What ever.

Montiel has never been destroyed and humiliated like Vic was against Donaire

I believe Montiel probably did lose to Gorrez, but i also think he beat Jhonny Gonzalez so. I have no problems with Montiel fighting Vic, because i know the little sicko will get his ears boxed off.

People talkin about Vic making a name and who has Donaire fought better recognize how difficult it is for donaire to get any action...
even though donaire beat vic, montiel knows that vic is a showtime boxer thats why he can make weight for vic

Montiel is slick and has a good defence. See his fights with Jhonny Gonzalez,Too Sharp Johnson.
Did you see Mijares' fight with Alexander Munoz? He showed some very slick moves in that fight. The thing is, he is tall for his weight class but he fights short. He also likes to mix it on the inside. Last time I saw Montiel fight, he struggled all 12 against a bum.

Well he beat Jhonny Gonzalez in my eyes, previously too that Gorrez fight.

Montiel is the epitmoe of slick.

One of Montiel's heroes is Ray Leonard. He did not fight his usual slick style against Gorrez thats all.

Montiel does have trouble with Southpaw's (Gorres)a bit, but he will not have trouble with some bum with a punch and an open defence.

            Montiel would outpoint Mijares.
I haven't followed enough of Montiel's career to make a prediction but he does seem to struggle with southpaws. They showed him fighting Luis Melendez( who is also a southpaw) on versus and he had some serious issues in that one. He wasn't consistent and he clowned around a lot, which led to him being dropped in one of the middle rounds and almost finished. You could be right though, because as stated i haven't see that much of him.

I agree he deffo has problems with the lefty stance i cant deny it. However i think Vic is waay too open for him and i think his Southpaw style will be negated against Montiel, because of the amount of pressure he puts on.

Being a Southpaw yourself you will know that Southpaw fighters are at their best when counter punching and letting their opponents come to them.

You cant go back on your word though.. It just makes it look like he didn't want none of Donaire.. Why not beat the man who beat the man. Donaire is going to be the JMMarquez of his division.. He can't get any fights...

It's not so much Montiel has trouble against a southpaw, which is a little bit of a problem, but he can't defend shots down the middle at all. He has horrible horrible defense for those shots. I thought he beat Z Gorres pretty comfortably, but if Gorres threw his jab and straight left more, then he probably would have won.

Also Mijares is much faster then Montiel. Montiel is pretty slow on his feet. At least lately, he's turned into more of a puncher who plodds along. He did so against Castillo, Gorres, and Maldonado. His hands are fast, but not as fast as Mijares'.

Mijares would beat him in the 116-112 catergory. I see Montiel having succes with his left hook and right hand at times though to win him some rounds.

edit: Vic Montiel is a toss up for me. If I had to bet points, I'd bet Montiel.

I agree with the part about him becoming more of a puncher lately. Im not sure Mijares has faster hands than him though. He deffo does not have quicker feet imo.

I believe Montiel is slicker than Mijares when he Boxes and uses his ring generalship. Do you agree that Montiel is the slicker of the two?

I dont see Mijares beating him.

I'm going to disagree. Mijares is faster and slicker than Montiel. Fernie would get schooled, Arce style.
