Yea, I think George always favoured the puncher...even when he was getting the crap kicked outta him

You know you wouldnt think it would be that hard to find a personality or two that was A. entertaining B. A fan of the sport and C could actually have some chemistry with the other commentators. But not only does HBO need to change the guard they need to embrace a new format, rev it up a little. First off better fights usually neutralizes commentary so start there. How about getting into the Athletes lives with interesting stories but then dont overdue it, some of the 24/7's are good, some are boring as ****. Show us more kickass highlights of these guys, I dont want to see Kellerman, Merchant or Lampley have a 3 minute soliloquy on some deep bull**** nobody agrees with or understands. Get some personality to come out in the interviews, maybe having Larry Merchant shoving a mic down your throat and in a setting as if your mom just died isnt the way to go , experiment around. If I pay 50 bucks for a ppv put on a ****in show, hot chicks that you actually put on the camera, maybe some prefight entertainment, music lights you know, buildup some future fights. HBO productions seem to be so lamed out and regurgitated. Come on people you have produced so many award winning original series can't you step up? Rant officially over.

sho box aint much better they just spend less money, put together better undercards and are less annoying. I wonder how much HBO pays Lampley and Merchant for what they do? its too much for sure. Although Lampley makes me laugh with his ****sexual undertone filled commentary. Merchant is another story dont get me started. Kellerman what a disappointment, he needs to lighten up, shave his beard or grow a real one.

Trinidad vs. Hopkins -Foreman hanging on Titos balls for the first 9 rounds. It got to the point where Hopkins jumped on him in the 10th and Foreman said, "I think Hopkins might be winning." No ****.

Peter vs. Maskaev -Seriously wtf. They made this **** sound like Ali-Frazier 1. They were praising both fighters skills' while it was pretty obvious they were two sloppy fatass that don't know how to box.

Mayweather vs. Hatton -Jim Lampley, "Left hook." Emmanuel Steward, ",yup."

i happen to like hbo's commentary. sure they have their favorite fighters just as we all do. and max gets a lot of hate but i love what he brings to the table. he does ride katsidis' nuts pretty damn hard though.
