If I remember correctly, Popkins was the one that said; "I'll never lose to a white boy."

And if I recall correctly, Popkins lost. If that's not humiliating, then you don't understand the meaning of it.

And oh..Bernard and Roy's legacy ****z on Joe's any day of the week.
Calzaghe beats both of them at any age. So they can't be that great.

Prime Calzaghe has the style to KO both of them within 5.

Thank you Joe for inspiring the endless stream of trolling threads that keep me from coming to Boxing Scene very often any more.

Considering the **** talk Hopkins was spouting before the fight. It was indeed humiliating for him to lose. Hopkins not only failed to hurt him even once, he got made a fool of by being forced to constantly hug Calzaghe to recover and had to fake a low blow injury which was laughable to watch. And then he lost.

"I'll never let a white boy beat me"

What a twit. Serves him right.

And Roy Jones? Don't even get me started on that ass whooping that Calzaghe gave him.

Let me guess what you are going to say now. Hopkins and Jones are old and past it! Well so was Calzaghe. Calzaghe had much heavier hands in his 20s before he injured them repeatably in training and had an even better work rate. Calzaghe always beats them. He would most likely KO a younger Roy Jones, and would UD Hopkins.

I'm glad Calzaghe retired and left his haters fuming. I would of done the same thing. He had nothing left to prove.
