    arturo gatti and micky ward

these guys are not great in a whitaker or trinidad sense but they give everything they have in the ring. they will fight until all the strength in them completely drains out. they never fail to give the fans a bloody good show... their legacies continue to linger in the guises of john duddy, jorge barrios and michael katsidis...

Obviously heaps of favourites but the number one would have to be Roy. He just did things in the ring that didn't previously appear to be possible.

          True, true.

OK, I'll name some of the fighters I dig anyway (in no order):

Manny Pacquiao (probably my favorite currently active fighter)
          Mike Tyson
          Nigel Benn
          Joe Calzaghe
          Michael Watson
          Chris Eubank
          Marvin Hagler
          Tommy Hearns
          Bernard Hopkins
          Roy Jones
          Mikkel Kessler
          Israel Vazquez
          Marquez brothers
          Lennox Lewis

As for why, they are/were either very entertaining, very skilled, or both.

And three fighters from the old school who will always be special to me:

          Jack Johnson
          Sugar Ray Robinson
          Sonny Liston

Ward + Gatti = magic! Not on my list of favorites but damn I could watch those guys fight anytime.

Leonard will always be my favourite fighter he had the showmanship and flash of Jones jr and the grit, heart and determination of Evander Holyfield.

Just tell us your favorite fighter and why you are a fan of them.

I will start... my favorite fighter is Floyd Mayweather, Jr. as you can see, my reasons for being a fan of him is because of his overall skills as a fighter which I think make him a tremendous talent for Boxing. I also think he has gained an amazing achievement by winning six world titles in five weight classes while remaining undefeated... which nobody has done before.

                    Now you choose...
                    cmon now...
