Back to the original point..... With the exception of Rafael Marquez I pretty much universally cheer against Mexican fighters. I generally feel for all their machismo and claims of being warriors, when the chips are down Mexican fighters are some of the biggest crybabies out there. I feel Mexican boxing is in a miniature slump at the moment.

Still all that said having 3 guys in the top 10 of a sport that features 1000s and thousands of fighters is pretty good. Looking at The Ring ratings (since they are generally the most respected) Mexico has 3 the USA has 2 and no other nation has more than 1.

Not to mention guys rated withing divisions
      105 - 1
      108 - 3
      112 - 1
      115 - 3
      118 - 1
      122 - 4
      126 - 4
      130 - 1
      135 - 3
      140 - 1
      147 - 1
      154 - 0
      160 - 2
      168 - 1
      175-200+ - 0

      thats 26 ranked within divisions.

Thats only 6 fighters short of USA which has the most with 32.
