I think it's very rare to find a "lucky shot" in boxing, that definitely wasn't one of them though. From what I saw, Nonito simply stepped back and countered him, luck had nothing to do with it.

Darchinyan has vastly improved since that fight however, so it's tough to say how the outcome of a second fight would turn out.

Yeah I agree. It wasn't luck at all. He actually attempted that punch afew times earlier in the bout including I think it was the end of the 3rd in which it staggered Vic. Though in the 5th he really loaded it up and timed it flawlessly. Vic has changed abit more now, but he's still wild and sloppy at times. I also see him not having the best chin when he takes a shot. I think Arce rocked him afew times that he managed to land and those weren't fully loaded shots. Donaire just might be the right antidote for Vic's style. Donaire doesn't get intimidated which Arce seemed as he said before the fight, if Vic hits as hard as they say, he was gonna try to box more. Donaire came out in the 1st blasting at Vic to show he wasn't scared and I think that screwed up Vic's rythme abit.

We still have some time before we can say Nonito is great. I think Vic's sucess has come from what type of opponents he's faced. Let's face it. Even if Nonito hadn't dropped him, he woulda still probably boxed Vic's ears off the whole night and wone the UD. Vic is so open for a counter over that half hearted right hand it's not even funny. Where are the technical boxers in this division?

nonito was dominating and landing that left hook evn before he knockedhim the F8ck out.
styles makes fights and Shaw knows this.
That's why he doesn't want none of Nonito.

Exactly, great points. Donaire was all ready to go to fight Montiel, but guess who backed out. Donaire has simply hit a rash of bad luck. Promoters screwing him, fighters not wanting to fight him. What is the man suppose to do.

And we already know where Darchinnyan's sc*mbag promoter stands on the idea of a rematch. Donaire is running out of options, maybe he should just fight PACquiao(he's always willing to fight, unlike the jotos)
