I'm simply looking for something different. I've never worn Winning or Grants and just wanted to hear peoples opinions.

Asian, are you still active as far as being a boxer, or you just like to write about the sport?
I'm still a gym rat, I like to stay in shape by working the bag, running, jumping rope. Whenever someone needs some work, I never turn down sparring. But I figured out a long time ago that I wasn't going to be a boxer. I just write.

Yeah man, see I've been out of the sport for awhile. I remember back then, I use to laugh at the dudes that would wear the headgear w/ a facebar. But now, I can't afford a broken nose or having to pick up my own teeth off the canvas, so I've joined the facebar club.

I mostly spar with novices. I just do it to stay in shape, no more tourneys for me, as much as i crave competing again, I have to be realistic and listen to my body and not what my ego tells me.

never wear reys for training, you will hurt yourself. Winning is on a whole nother level above all other gloves when it comes to training. I have a pair of 16oz. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutly, I would pay an additional 100 dallars for them, there that good, expecially if you have wrist problems like me.

I don't like using the facebar because then I can't see. I don't mind getting hit, it's getting hit with the punch I can't see that frightens me. If you've been sparring regularly since you're a young teen, you should already know how to deal with any situation.

I like sparring with anyone that knows how to "work." Some kids who are strong but have no experience try to take my head off and then someone winds up getting hurt and then I have to breathe more than I want to lol.

I love working with the little kids because the next day I see them trying to do the same stuff I do lol. I swear I worked three rounds with this little 8 year old kid who was about to have his first fight and I do a lot of Ali footwork imitations and use a cross-body roll against orthodox fighters. I came to the gym and as I walked in he was sparring doing everything I was doing the day before LOL.

I might have to look into Winning, my left wrist has been killing me for a few weeks and I can't throw my left hook with full force. I tried tightening the wraps but it only makes the pain manageable.

I might have to go order a pair, they aren't in any of the sports stores out here.
