People are actually proud of Joe's win over Hopkins, because of what Hop did to Pavlik, but my question is why? Hopkins just proved that in his prime when he could sustain his workrate a fight with Calzaghe would not even been a contest.

Proud? I'm not. Calzaghe had a very scrappy match, wasn't landing accurately and got caught with a great flush shot. Not his finest moment by any stretch.

But Pops also fought like ****. And lost. All I saw from him after the 1st round was punch-hold, punch-hold, punch-hold, feign injury, repeat. Bull**** fight. Why would anyone want to see THAT again? You tell me. Seriously, why?

If it was so easy, I wonder, why did Hops back out of the 2002 fight. Surely the 3 million he was offered would have been a great pay check for an easy night's work instead of taking on Morade Hakkar for 1.25 million?

Im not saying i wanna see it again. Im saying Calzaghe would of been handled comfortably Hopkins in his prime and Joe was even less effective than Hopkins, because at least Hopkins was getting his shots home.

Duke McKenzie,Mike Tyson both thought Calzaghe lost the fight.

Word. ****ing awful fight. Nothing to be proud of. I don't even think Joe himself was proud, but a win is a win, and that's all that matters.

I'm not sure why this is relevant?

Hopkins would never have beat Joe. I firmly believe that.
