Seems pretty unanimous for Commander Vander and i agree, just wondered as both had been superb, among the best or THE Best in Holys case at a smaller weight, moved up and beat bigger guys. Both had granite chins, could box but had a fighters heart and are among the best combo punchers
Better fighter p4p Mosley or Holyfield

Do you remember when Shane Mosley accused Vernon Forrest of headbutting? Said they had a school in Atlanta where they were taught how to headbutt?
I love Shane but that story kills me to this day.

Yeah i seem to remember hearing that somewhere. I always thought Holyfield's head butts were accidental and more to do with the way he fights, but then i saw him fight Bobby Czyz and Ruiz, then i realized actually he is a dirty fighter. I dont think Marvin Hagler was dirty, but his style and stance created a few accidental head butts that led to a couple of his fights to be stopped.Comment

No disrespect to Evander Holyfield, but i could never see Shane Mosley struggling with the likes of a shot Michael Dokes, Bert Cooper, Alex Stewart. Evander Holyfield is a great fighter but he always looked beatable, and he had too many hot/cold performances.
Shane Mosley in his prime at Lightweight never looked beatable, its only when he fought bigger men with good jabs that he lost. Shane Mosley also is a much better fighter than Evander Holyfield was at his age, im going with Shane Mosley.Comment

I hear ya BD but I don't think Holyfield would've struggled with those fighters, pound for pound. Like Mosley at lightweight, Holyfield was at his best at cruiser. They both netted some great and some disappointing performances when they moved up.No disrespect to Evander Holyfield, but i could never see Shane Mosley struggling with the likes of a shot Michael Dokes, Bert Cooper, Alex Stewart. Evander Holyfield is a great fighter but he always looked beatable, and he had too many hot/cold performances.
