Official Predictons: Darchinyan-Arce

So a lot of people are excited, fighter have made weight and said their 2 cents (probabaly more like $2 in the case of these 2). I want to know how boxingscene thinks the fight plays out. Not who you want to win, but who you expect to win and how. Poll coming.

I expect a 8th round KO/TKO by Vic. I'm sure Arce will put up a good fight, but it won't be enough.

Im going to go for the upset and pick Arce by TKO. alright, I havent seen much of Darchinyan...so it isnt a real prediction. but based on what Ive seen of him, he has a wild style which is really technically solid. I think hes going to lured into a fight because his lack of discipline, and Arce has the heart, punching power and toughness to beat fighters who are much better than him because they get drawn into a brawl.

I think Arce is going to get the hell beat out of him, but will save himself with strong bodywork and power punching.

Darchinyan has improved his defense significantly. I've seen almost all of Darchinyan's fights and a lot of Arce's fights. It'll be a good fight that's for sure, but I think Darchinyan has what it takes to win; an extremely heavy left hand, an improved defense, and a raging bull trapped inside him. :P

I'm sort of on the fence, I think the only safe thing with these two in the ring is to watch it all unfold. I've been very surprised with Darchinyan's recent fights, he's been much more disciplined in his attack and has shown some versatility. His left hand is still his money punch but he has used his right hand much better to set it up.

I haven't seen Arce since the Mijares fight but I know that he likes his opponents to stand and brawl with him. I think this is a fight that came two years too late but better than never.

i think deep down that vic smashes the arce who has fought his last few fights. if arce can pull out some old magic than he has a great shot, but if he's the same as he has been lately i think he goes down.

Arce only fights one way, and it'll be excitin, but he'll be KO'd in the mid rds.
