who the hell did he face in his prime then? give me one good name
if you look at my previous posts, and disregard of me being pinoy, you will see that im not just a pac fan. Marquez, Jones, Robinson, some guys im a bigger fan of than pac. I am a pac fan. i even admitted myself to be a nuthugger, but i don't think pac can beat mayweather, margarito, mosley. i think the second bout againts marquez could have gone either way. i bet againts pac when he faced DLH
you on the other hand, sir, is a fan of an overrated crappy slapping "boxer" who **** all over boxing, the sport that gave him "fame"
Regardless of your bitterness. Or Calzaghe's so called resume.
Every boxer in history will get their career scrutinized when announcing retirement, Ali got it, Mayweather got it and even Roy Jones got it.
The fact of the matter is Joe Calzaghe was a world title holder for more than 11 years and won all of his 46 fights, which included 32 knockouts.
Give some respect. It's an amazing achievement, more than you will ever achieve, and the stuff professional boxers only dream of.
Now screw your neck back in.Comment

To be honest im not trying to diss Joe Calzaghe here, but the guy that just mentioned his best wins. Do you know what all those wins have in common ? they had not long come off looking bad in a recent loss. Or they were shot fighters or ETC.
Robin Reid looking terrible and losing against a 40+ Thulani Malinga.
Richie Woodhall losing against feather fisted green Markus Beyer being decked 3 times. And Richie Woodhall was past his best which is why he never fought again.
Chris Eubank was weight drained and was not long coming off two losses to Steve Collins. But i still give Joe Calzaghe credit for this win, considering he was a green and it was a good achievement easily beating Chris Eubank. Who still had fire in his belly.
Charles Brewer recently coming off a bad loss to Antwun Echols. Which he was in control of until his weak chin let him down. Plus Charles Brewer was past his prime.
Omar Sheika got a gift decision against Glen Johnson he didn't deserve the decision, Omar Sheika wern't a bad fighter but nothing special either. As that shows in his 2 losses to Scott Pemberton, and his losses to a shot Thomas Tate, Eric Lucas.
Byron Mitchell a recent loss to Sven Ottke, and 2 life and death struggles against a green Manny Siaca, Byron Mitchell didn't fight for for 4 years after the Joe Calzaghe fight. And when he did that was an 8round fight against a shot Richard Hall, which he lost by TKO.
Alot of these fighters were either past there best, coming off damaging losses. Or just wern't that good to begin with, this isn't Joe Calzaghe's fault his division was weak and he did what was asked of him and thats beat the man. Who was in front of him.
But he should of took more risks and moved up in weight and traveled away from home, IMO Joe Calzaghe is a very good fighter but he falls short of great.Comment

.... SMW sure is a crappy division
