it is absurd to that Joe Calzaghe is ducking anyone or ever has, truth is the likes of roy jones, hopkins and taylor had ducked calzaghe many years ago, and yes you could argue that they wanted bigger names at the time, and so is joe not also in his right to go after the biggest names and biggest money spinners he could and did, how much would he get for batteing Chad Dawson, or Pavlick, both of which he would have defeated with ease, specialy the over hyped pavlick, as for Hopkins Joe beat him fair and square and he landed more punches on Hopkins than any other opponent, Hopkins ran all night, if it wasnt for Calzaghe going forward there would not of even been a fight, he got floored yes, but did he not get straight back up and dominate the entire remainder of the fight, also you cant say he beat a over the hill hopkins because he absolutley wped the floor with Pavlick, just think how bad calzaghe would have made him look. Joe also beat many young slick fighters, some supposedly the next generation, so how many of the next generation dose he have to beat to prove himself to some of the loosers on here, Kessler who is the best at super mid now and there aint even realy anyone special for him to fight, i like froch but kess would batter froch for fun, he beat lacy and look at him now, totaly ruined, anyone that says negative things about calzaghe is either talking **** or are bitter, we could discect many of the great fighters records couldnt we, but you can only fight who was there to fight, its beyond his control that there was no one to match him or those that could were earning more fighting names known in the USA.
