Just wanted to show respect for Joe's decision, he is at the age and point in his career where he should be calling it a day anyway. I give him all the credit he deserves for achieving what he has done.

on a side note, anyone think him seeing first hand what he did to an older roy jones sped up his thought process on retirement?

May you retire in peace Joe...

Unfortunately that is not the case with Floyd Jr... great fighters of this days are still calling him out of retirement.

as for you I think that there are no other fighters left to fight in your division to make you prove yourself.

            Enjoy your retirement.

He's smart. Get out before you end up like Roy. Cal is finished as a fighter if he loses another step in agility, it can only substitute for not having real defense for so long.. like Roy. He hurt himself here hanging it up on a shot Jones. No desire to settle a split decision, yet you've rematched without protest a guy in your career you knocked out in 1 round? No Glen Johnson? Still? His confidence issues really hurt his legacy for me. Like Floyd, I can't take his undefeated record seriously.

This **** seriously makes me appreciate Rocky Marciano by comparison.

Fairly well considering none of them are in their prime even though Hopkins is decent now. Stellar career Joe, now retire and stay retired same goes for Lennox.
