Give Froch props!!!

froch has a bit of a wild style, he has a big punch, is a fairly big guy, has decent stamina and a great chin. a fight between him and andrade would be a war!!! his technique is at times lacking but he has shown that he can when he needs to use his jab and ocaaionally he time his opponents very well with his right uppercut. he also throws punches from strange angles and relies on one punch power rather than grouping his shots and firing combos.

however any good boxer with a good set of skills and a good chin has his number. i think this fight (froch vs taylor) depends entirely on how JT takes a punch. froch will tag Jt at least twice in the bout and if taylor can take them punches then i can see taylor securing a UD.

you have to give props to froch though he is looking for the big fights. he started relatively late on in his career, so hes very much playing catch up in his mind.

if froch wins i can see him taking on kess, if taylor wins i can't see that happening till maybe 2010.

Also froch is yet to be knocked to the floor in all his professional and amateur fights whilst having the worst defence ever. credit where credit is due!!!

Yes.

Imagine a white guy with the same defence as David Haye and lots of punching power.

There were a couple moments in his fight against Pascal where he stalked like a zombie. Flat footed, hands down and eating a ton of punishment to land a couple wide bombs. At the very least he's definitely badass. IMO.

when a guy has KO'ed 14 out of 21 of his wins (thats almost 75%) hes hardly a slouch when it comes to power. pascal caught froch flush at times with several blows one after the other but froch was rarely deterred never mind hurt.

I'm looking forward to seeing Froch. I've never seen any of his fights. Is he exciting to watch? Is he good? What's his style like?

He's exciting to watch, but hes rubbish.

I like the brash style of Froch. It's pretty nice to have a guy wanting to fight the best instead of milking his newly aquired title with a couple of easy defenses.

For the benefit of those who have only seen Froch in the Pascal fight, don't assume that's all he does. That fight got dragged into a war early simply because both fighters thought it was a war they would win - and Pascal has the same heart and chin as Froch. I'm not saying he can adapt in the way that the real elite can, but he won't approach the Taylor fight in the same way simply because he knows Taylor won't play.
