Ivan Calderon Set To Defend His Title on March 28

After shuffling around several dates and ideas. Puerto Rico Best Boxing has a target date or March 28 for the return of WBO junior flyweight champion Ivan Calderon (32-0, 6KOs). Calderon has been sidelined since suffering a bad cut during last August's rematch with Hugo Fidel Cazares. The event will take place in Puerto Rico. [details]

Send Morel to Mexico, and stack the PR card with prospects.

Calderon should be publicized by one of the two major cable networks. The guy is a phenom at this point every aspect of his game is technically sound he has next to no flaws, he's resilient as he will get off the canvas and adjusts to pressure fighters. Excellent unseen talent to the casual fan, C'mon Cable TV somebody has to put this guy on payroll.

I for one would not pay to see Calderon. He's a boring fighter who just likes to run, it's just an ugly style of boxing.

Ivan Calderon is one of the finest boxers I've ever seen. For a little fighter who doesn't actually posses much punching power he earned his spot at the P4P top 10 rankings.

His fight last August was exciting. He got a nasty cut from a headbutt but I think it was a blessing in disguise for him, although Ivan was winning most of the rounds Cazares' punches was affecting Ivan whenever it connected, and I think Cazares would've caught Ivan in the later rounds if the fight hasn't been stopped.

Ugly? BS! The guy is ridiculously sound technically, only an idiot would trade against bigger fighters if he lacks the power. His style sure as hell isn't ugly, in fact its near perfect, the kind of style that exposes your enemy's weaknesses and exploits them, just him and Floyd seem to have it.
