Locche is the best boxer without a punch I've ever seen, he was as featherfisted as Malinaggi but was so good he made one guy quit in a title fight because after 8 rounds he hadn't laid a glove on him.

Why do most people here seem to think that only defensive boxers are classified as "pure boxers"? There's much more to boxing than just a solid defense. This sport isnt solely about making your opponent miss.

This should be based on guys that are all rounders... Good defense and good offense.

Pep... easily, he once won a round without throwing a punch!

SRL... Defense and Offense was incredible

Mayweather... Best defense i've ever seen and has a good KO record. Got a powerful right hand and left hook. Incredibly intelligent in the ring. Makes fighters not use their best punches against him.

Whittaker... Great reflexes and could hurt guys.

Bhop... Great ring intelligence, good defense and can hurt guys.

Locche was great. The fact that he couldn't hit put him at such a disadvantage yet he was always able to win decisions by putting on boxing clinics where there could be no question of the right winner.

Not a big name or an all-time great but Carlos Ortiz was as complete a boxer as anyone else:

Nothing spectacular, just a solid all-around boxer.
