Larsen definetely. It not only fills he's wallet, it's also less dangerous and he get's to shut the mouths of all the people who thinks Larsen has a real chance. Remember these guys have been rivals for 10 years. Kessler will probably live here in Denmark after his boxingcareer so he'd better getter take this fight to avoid hearing about it for the rest of his life.
He can always fight the Glen Johnson's for ½ million dollars later.
Haha. Look: The circomstances are completely different. Taylor can pick and choose any fighter he wants. Kessler cannot as he is not nearly the draw Taylor is. In the end Kessler's options was a catchweight fight with Glenn Johnson for ½ million dollars gross or Larsen for 2 million dollars net (I think it's net that is).
Kessler will never be a draw if he continues taking fights like Larsen instead of taking a risk against a known, respected opponent in Johnson.
I'm sorry, but I don't think you can complain about being unknown and not having the power to choose when you're not doing what it takes to get recognized in the first place.
Kessler gets a lot of flack from fans, but for the most part it's only because we want to see him in meaningful fights. He's got the potential to be a star.

Who thinks Larsen has a real chance?
Nobody outside of a few people in Denmark, surely.

That's right. Probably only danes.
Personally I'd say he has a chance IF he can get back to his old form. But so far in his comeback he seems to be slow of foot, lacking in punching power and his chin looks suspect. So based on his comeback so far Larsen shouldn't be able to stand up for more than 6 rounds. If he regains his old form he'll last the distance and win some rounds.

@dstew......
you answered the question. bat you were right in the sense it fills his pocket NOW, but where will he be after the fight? in the same position he is in now. he can't take fights like this, but at the same time call out fighters like chad dawson and expect him to move down to meet him at a catchweight. kessler wants big fights, he has to do something to "earn" them. taking a fight now against a notable opponent, for less money, makes more sense than fighting someone virtually unknown, but expecting bigger fights down the road.
i have no problem w/ people calling kessler the best at 168, but personally, it'd make more sense to see him fight other best fighters at 168 first........
i was shaking my head when he turned down the fight w/ edison miranda, to compete for that alphabet belt.
