This fight will damage his confidence going into the fight with Cotto, so i wouldn't be surprised if Cotto won. Also, he could have used the plaster against Cotto, you never know.

Margarito's aura is gone. He gets in there with any of the top WWs (Clottey, Mosley, Cotto) and he gets laced once again. When fighters who fight like margarito get beat down as bad as he did, they don't go back to the drawing board and work on different strategies because let's face it, Margarito isn't necessarily a great boxer and it took 2 vicious fights with Cotto and Mosley to put a kink in the armor. If he continues to fight, he'll get beat once again by any of those 3.
