My cousin trains at the same gym and heard rumours pre-fight that Froch was close to pulling out, after he told me i noticed from the first round that it was a bother to Froch as he was constantly adjusting his shorts around that region.

British press is reporting that it is still not signed and Hennessy is sugesting that even after offering $1m Taylor is running scared! he will have to give up his WBC#1 spot if he doesnt fight Froch.....come on Taylor show some balls and sign the contract!.....personally i dont like Froch he is arrogant and talks way too much but i respect him as a fighter and think he will beat Taylor by stoppage.

If Taylor can lose twice to Pavlik then he can lose to Froch. Pavlik and Froch aren't that different. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but a lot of you seem to be overrating Taylor. I'm really not sure if Taylor has the heart for a fight that is in all probability going to be a war, or the chin for that matter. If Taylor wants the victory he's got to use his superior boxing skills to keep Froch on the outside and not be drawn into a slugfest. This will certainly be his strategy, but whether he sticks to it or can stick to it is another matter.

Might I add that I really don't rate Froch that highly or even particularly like the guy. Froch is deluded as to his own ability. What he does have however is a cast iron chin and incredible power, physical abilities that can win any fight. I'm going to predict that Taylor wins by a comfortable decision, but I think it's very possible that Froch stops him.

Anyone want to give me 2/1 on Froch stopping Taylor? I'd take it at that value even if I don't think it'll necessarily happen.

Im British and Jermain Taylor will beat the living hell out of Carl Froch, Jermain Taylor has underrated power and he can hurt Carl Froch with one punch. Carl Froch's defense is all over the place i have no idea why he holds his hands so low, his reflexes aren't nothing to write home about. And Carl Froch's power is also very overrated.

And Jean Pascal who is borderline B+ caught him over and over, with wild swinging punches. Carl Froch hasn't got the defense to beat world class fighters, and even though he showed a decent enough chin against Jean Pascal. Jean Pascal is no puncher lets remember that.

Jermain Taylor is too skilled and he will make Carl Froch look silly IMO. Yes Jermain Taylor lost to Kelly Pavlik but that was just a bad style match up, Kelly Pavlik was tall he kept coming forward. He could match Jermain Taylor jab to jab.

Those problems Kelly Pavlik gave him Carl Froch will not give him. Plus to be honest i think Carl Froch's punching technique at times is poor, and i don't think much of his boxing skills either. I think Carl Froch will get badly exposed here.

You say you don't rate Froch that highly but then claim that he has "incredible power" and "a cast iron chin", two things that have yet to be proven IMO. Yes he has good power and a good chin, but if he lived up to billing he would've KO'd Pascal with some of the bombs he landed. Not to mention he hasn't really faced anyone who could truly test his chin - Pascal's not got a great KO % himself.

And the only thing Pavlik and Froch have in common is that they are strong guys who come forward. Outside of that, Pavlik's fundamentals are sharper, his workrate is higher, and his defense is better. Froch did show a bit of a jab in the Pascal fight but usually didn't follow up on it; most of the time he is looking to land that one BIG punch. This is entirely different from Pavlik's method, which is to wear his opponent down until he crumbles.
