Knocked down maybe, but never close to being stopped. He has a very good chin. Who exactly knocked him down that wasn't a hard puncher? Jandaeng and Santiago? Both are very hard punchers in fact. Santiago has a very high KO ratio as does Jandaeng so I don't know where you got that info.
Concepcion Has a Puncher's Chance Against Luevano

Am I the only one who thinks Luevano is brilliant?
I know Nicky Cook isn't a great fighter but there are ways of beating someone. Luevano outclassed him to the utmost degree and Cook is not a mug either; he's fringe world-level. Great counterpuncher, very patient and relaxed,Comment

Luevano by easy UD or late TKO...
Luevano has a 3 inch height advantage with longer arms. He would out box him easy.. I also think the bigger santiago had a harder punch than Abe. So all that "punchers chance" is wishful thinking.Comment

Luevano's experience should carry him to a close UD, but if he fights Concepcion the same way that he did Mario Santiago, he will surely wake up face-up in the canvas. Santiago has decent power, but he uses a more technical approach and preasure to pull the fight his way; had he actually pursued Luevano around he could have TKOd him. Either way, to be honest Luevano isn't a particularly impressive champion.Last edited by PlasticFlamingo; 02-04-2009, 02:22 PM.Comment
