Thats exactly it though.He did take risks early in his career,he just isnt willing to do it anymore.He hasnt been in enough fights to be considered shot in the traditional sense of the word,but his confidence and is hunger seem shot to bits,and as someone else earlier mentioned,I also think the people managing him know it too

Of course taylor is ducking Froch, Taylor isn't a hungry boxer anymore he hasnt been since his second win over hopkins if he could bring back the hunger from those days he could be a force in the division but he just wants to get paid in low risk high reward fights so he can maybe win super mid title and cement his legacy as a two division champion and earn as much money as quick as possible he seems like the sort of fighter who doesnt want to long into his 30's.

so he only has luke 3-4 years left and if he loses to someone like froch, kessler. he will have to start over again in the divison and he aint got time for that, i'm surprised he hasnt gone after Bute and his IBF title because of the dodgyness in how he one his last fight and he isnt as deverstating a puncher as either froch or kessler.

Bute is a legitimate Super Middleweight, he got up from the knockdown before the count of ten and won the fight there was no shadyness there.

I agree man, just disappointing. This is why I love the welterweight division, not just because of the talent, but in time everyone is fighting who they are suppose to.

Absolutely. You gotta love the welters. It does make match-ups easier in that division that the top dogs are all well known to the same audience.

That's the problem with the SMW's. The top guys are from different countries so it's more difficult to bring them together which is a damn shame because talentwise the SMW-division is very deep.

I thought he looked pretty good against Lacy. At least to me he proved he's ready for the big guns at 168 and I'd expect him to enter any titlefight as the favorite.
