Texas rednecks? In this thread: Aussies going for Kats, The rest of the world going for Diaz.
But seriously how could you not like Kats? not only is he exactly what boxing needs right now but he is an extremley nice guy.
If any of you watched the Diaz fight you would of saw Kats smiling, making jokes and congratulating Diaz on the win. Of course the Texas rednecks booed him when he was talking. Kellerman had to tell the crowd that this is not a man that deserves to be booed at all.Comment

Nobody ever quit on their stool.. "Barbie" KTFO his last oppenent when his eyes were about to shut. Ref called one of his KD a low blow when it was clearly to the body caught on camera. He came out when the doc said they were gonna stop the fight due to his eyes and KTFO of his opponent. If you call that quitting shows what you know. Vazques-DLH, Julio-JCC, whats the difference, old, young, they are all quitters. Morales was 29-30 when he quit.Last edited by Alibata; 02-03-2009, 07:09 PM.Comment

Absolutely. I think that despite his lack of a strong resume so far, and his recent losses, he's got a lot to offer to boxing - he's got that style which can draw in the fans of bloody wars (the Earl fight in particular gaining him UK recognition), hard-hitting slugfests (the Amonsot and Ramirez fights showcasing his involvement with the Eastern/Asian sector of boxing), and at the same time he's humble and can talk well. But seriously how could you not like Kats? not only is he exactly what boxing needs right now but he is an extremley nice guy.

In time, I hope he improves because there's still a lot of work to be done on his defence and whatnot (he's like a mini Hatton, complete with faults). If he wants to hang with the big boys, there's a li'l way to go yet. I'm admittedly a diehard fan, but I'll openly knowledge his weaknesses too. Diaz definitely shouldn't treated lightly, considering Kats hasn't KOed anyone in 2 years and has that bad tendency to cut very easily (again, like Hatton).Comment
