POLL Should Cotto get a new trainner?

I was discussing this the other day, his uncle dont seem like he actually does much Cotto seems to almost train himself at times also their stormy relationship cant be a good thing! I think he has taught Cotto as much as he can and perhaps its time for someone new.

BUT then again Cotto has beat everyone put in front of him bar Margarito who it appears may have cheated so whatever Evangalisto and Cotto have been doing has been working. Its also a CRUCIAL time in Cotto's career coming off his sole loss, does Cotto need to be trying new things and taking time to gel with a new trainner or just do what has worked so far. Cotto strikes me as the kinda guy who might not like change. But it may be what he needs.

On a side note if u voted for a change who would u like to see him with?
****m Richardson is with Rival and futre oppenent Mosley, Freddie Roach is with another potential rival and big money fight in Manny Pacquaio. Both trainners seem loyal to their guy as well.
Then uve got Mayweather Snr who works with rivals ODH and Hatton but would make the switch if the cash was right. Or Nacho Berstien. Loads of less aclaimed yet quality trainners out there too.

Who would u like to see him switch too if anybody?

Why does everyone seem to think a new trainer is required after a fighter loses? It's ridiculous.

Their relationship has supposedly gotten better now after the Margarito fight but I wouldn't mind seeing him adding someone to his camp to tighten up a few things and work on his flaws a little, I don't think he'll leave his uncle.

Cotto definitly needs a world class trainer in his corner. He needs someone that can teach him how to fight physical. I am a huge Cotto fan, he's my favorite fighter, but he can't go on in his career and just expect to be able to punch his way to victory. There are things he needs to learn like holding that will really make him a complete fighter. I think the development of his ability to box has been amazing, but he has no way of getting out of trouble outside of his heart. His heart carried him to vicory in the Torres fight, but against a guy like Margarito it just wasn't enough.

I don't know what trainer Cotto should turn to, but he needs to find a world class guy that can help him reach his true potential.

No he doesnt, he fine. One loss doesnt mean anything. Remember hes fighting pretty good fighters so of course he might have a loss. I still like him no matter what. People look too in to the situation he had with his uncle. Its over now, they should be fine. I think they both learned their lesson.

My vote would probably go to bringing in a new trainer to oversee Evangelista. If anything it could make for a smoother transition into someone new. It's publicly know that Cotto's relationship with his uncle has been rocky in the past. I don't really know what else a new trainer could teach him though when I think about it. Perhaps tightening up his defense a bit more, specifically his being prone to eating uppercuts. Other than that, Cotto is damn near the complete package, seriously. Great boxer/puncher and very exciting fighter. I always know I'll get a good show when he fights.
