Manny, go tell your boy that.

The only thing that annoys me about Haye is he is talking so much that if he loses, then he will be humiliated and it will take him ages to get another shot. He might just retire like Naseem Hamed as he said he only wants a few more fights.

I think Vitali and Wlad are great ambassadors for the sport outside the ring, unlike a lot of fighters (the likes of Mayweather ****ing on about money money money) they are obviously very intelligent gentleman and I was very impressed with Vitali on Setanta sports for the Haye fight and they both obviously love this sport.
I agree. Good post. Haye is just a loser compared to the K men.

Whatever you think about Haye you have to respect the fact he wants to fight the best in the division, this is the marquee division in boxing which has been fragmented since Lewis retired. With champions more often than not taking easy options and has beens and contenders happy to fight journeyman and picking up the pay cheques.

It needs new blood though I don’t want to see the likes of Holyfield fighting anymore or Rahman or Toney for that matter. Wlad has all the skills in the world to dominate fighters and ignite the division, his safe first approach isn't particularly media friendly for the casual fan which the boxing world needs to flourish, frankly at times Wlad is embarrassing to watch. Looking at his fights past Peter,

Hasim Rahman - What did he do to deserve yet another shot? Granted he was a late replacement.

Tony Thompson - WBO ranked contender and we all know how good the WBO is……..well in my opinion a stepping stone to a real world title.

Sultan Ibragimov - Fought Holyfield….wow! - the fight was embarrassing, I thought Ibragimov looked promising I know he had some problems outside the ring so maybe I am being unfair.

Lamon Brewster - Shot and had not fought for a year, he was there for a pay day, he was lucky to beat Wlad the first time.

Ray Austin - Please…….. No better than Barrett

          Calvin Brock - See above

Chris Byrd - A blown up (very brave) light heavyweight/cruiserweight

I am sure in the past Haye has said he doesn’t know how his chin is going to hold up, but to be fair at heavyweight anyone can spark anyone. He has an exciting style, but needs to improve his defence against Wlad. I remember Gurov was meant to be a stern test for Haye, he has an upright European style like Wlad….and Haye got rid of him in less than a minute (now I am not saying they are in the same league, however potentially that could be a blue print for Haye). Can he do that to Wlad? I am in two minds, I think Wlad maybe is too big, but at heavyweight everyone has a punchers chance it will all be dependant on how much power Haye carries up to the heavyweight division and how often he can tag that chin. Looking at Walds last 7 fights he hasn’t really fought anyone with any real speed. Haye has that in spades which is what makes this fight interesting and if he can find angles he could open Wlad up a bit and make him fight.

Also I would rather have Haye sounding off and actually fighting the best, than listen to Audley Harrison from a British perspective.
So maybe instead of saying "gay haye is gonna get ****d" why not write something constructive!

I also agree that Haye is jumping the queue but surely he is better that Auerola?

Whatver you think about Haye or his motives he is setting himself up for a mighty fall if he loses he will have no where to go and all his ranting will make him look pretty foolish, however if he wins…..
Detailed post but somewhat worthless. All that needs to be said is this:

If Wlad and Haye fight, Wlad will be knocked cold.

how much split you get in a fight has nothing to do with a fighter's accomplishments. it has everything to do with how much money you attract to the fight....

welcome to boxing. you'll really love this sport if you continue watching it after the Klits retire.

Wlad is the champion with three heavyweight belts. Haye would be a voluntary defense.

I think if Haye is being unreasonable, Wlad should opt for a fight with Dimitrenko.
Haye isn't demanding the fight is in the UK (see here); and where is your evidence that he's demanding a home referee, or that he's demanding 50/50?

David's public line is that he will beat Wladimir, no doubt. Then go do it for very good pay, then you can negotiate a lion's share for the next fight after you take his belts.
Yeah but I haven't seen any evidence that he's demanding an unrealistic share of the split. Speculation is cheap, but do you have any evidence?
