    Collazo,welterweight Elite!!!

Just thinking deep, judging from Berto-Collazo and the handspeed and combination punching I've seen from him, mixed with his better than average boxing ability,If given fair judges and half another shot,I think Collazo could upset any welterweight champ!!!!!!!!!!

I don't buy Luis over Cotto, Clottey or SSM who already whooped him.

I thought Collazo beat Berto. I would give him a chance against anyone but Mosley.

I dont think Williams will ever fight at Welter again.

people forget that he's been a legitimate top 10 welterweight for a few years now. he obviously has flaws, but collazo is, at the very least, competitive with any welterweight in the world.

I'm not saying that he is better than those men,I think on a good day he could outbox Cotto,I did not see the fight with Shane, but I heard that he was doing good until an injury and lost a decision. Now Clottey may never lose again,to anyone,I do think outside of,Williams Clottey is the best ww.I'm just saying Collazo has the ability and talent to pull out an upset against the ww greats today, because besides Berto ww is loaded with amazing talent,Collazo included!!!

bold statement. i'm not on the clottey bandwagon. clottey has flaws that elite fighters can exploit. he's a very good fighter.

Shane is my man and I dont want to take any credit away from him but I cant see him dominating Collazo on a normal night. No one wants to hear any excuses in boxing but Collazo did for a fact take that fight on super short notice and he did for a fact hurt his hand in the fight and had to have surgery on it immediatly after. Remember Collazo was getting Shane early in that fight before the injury. He's always been one of my favorites but I think the public slept on him because there biased against pure boxers who dont score alot of KO's.

He's very slick and a really good fighter and he's alot bigger & stronger at WW then people give him credit for. He will be trouble for anyone. With that being said he'll never reach his full potential because he still takes rounds off and can be outworked. Thats why I gave Hatton the win by 1 round and had Collazo beating Berto by 1pt because of the penalty but had it scored 6 rounds apiece otherwise

yeah in Title fight's Collazo's really proved to be quite un-clutch. (vs Hatton and most recently vs Berto) and on top of that Collazo is 2-3 in title fights (vs Mosley was for the WBC Interim belt)

and that made me think of the 140 pound division because

I was just thinking .. the same goes for Herman Ngoudjo.

who is 0-2 in shots at the title.

Does anyone think Luis Collazo is the modern day Welterweight version of Oba Carr ? that Luis Collazo will always give the top boys good/tough fights, but he will always come out on the short end of the stick ?
