That's a different question though. The question is, is Margarito prime. Not did Mosley only win because he was past prime. Mosley won because he kicked the **** out of him, and anyone that claims it's just 'cause Margarito is past it is ******ed, seeing as Mosley is more past prime..

Mab was 29 in the 1st pac fight and EM was 30 by the 3rd one. Cats who don't like Pac were callin em shot to block his shine. And back on topic, no Marg wasn't shot, he just got his ass kicked.

We can't really know, I don't care for Margarito, and I certainly dislike his pathetic fanobys, and I hate giving them something to hang their hat on, but those who followed boxing for a long time, might remember the California featherweight scene of the 70s (mostly mexican/chicano brawlers). How many of those fighters made it to age 30 in good shape?

He doesn't have a great rep on the boxingscene.com, but he says he's been watching Tony closely for around 10 years now, so you got to respect and consider it.

However...Shane (himself past prime) beat Tony so definitively, you have to think it would've never made a difference in that particular matchup.
mosley is past his prime because he is older but margarito is past his prime due to all the wars hes been in. the wars take alot out of you and can make you a journeyman fighter very quickly. just look at fernando vargas who was washed up by the time he was 26 due to the great wars he gave us. mosley is older but margarito was more past his prime.

Judging by his performance he didn't look like a prime fighter, There was no fight in him like against Cotto. Maybe taking all those punches have caught up with him or maybe Mosley's handspeed and power surprised him. Mosley's body punching did surprise Margarito also.

Mosley performance and gameplan were great.

his next performance will be a good indicator if he is in his prime or not although really i feel Mosley is simply the better fighter.
