Not to me, Barrera is a ***** imo. Great fighter in his prime, but still a hardcore *****.

I think Khan should skip MAB and wait for a serious opponent to open up their diary - Campbell, Marquez, Juan Diaz, Casamayor, Katsidis, etc.

Maybe even a Prescott rematch if the latter still manages to look good against whoever he's facing next (although I hope he gets exposed because I fookin hate the bastage!)

Or even consider a move to LWW. He's bulked up before, and Pac/Floyd/others have done it.

Not if he fights like he did on Saturday he won't. Khan wouldn't have needed his head to open up a gash on MAB's bonce - his fast handspeed alone could've done it.

Don't worry about it. Because he won't! Trust me, I know Barrera better than you do.

A report in The Times of London quotes Frank Warren as follows:
“I did not want this fight in Mexico to happen, but I think there was pressure on him to go ahead with it. If the worst comes to the worst, we will have to push it back a couple of weeks, but we don't want to do that.” Barrera, 35, who has won world titles at super-bantamweight, featherweight and super-featherweight, is to fly to Florida today to see a specialist before deciding if he will be fit to box.
So is he going to see a specialist before deciding, as reported by The Times, or is the fight definitely on, as reported by The Daily Star? I know which newspaper I would usually trust more!

Don't be daft, Khan is nowhere near ready for any of those fighters.

I agree Khan needs to develop and mature before he can take out seasoned vets.

What's daft about it - when, then? Who does he have to face until he can be considered 'elite' enough to hang with the big (little) boys? If he faces MAB, he gets ****. If he faces a non-top10 LW, he gets ****. What does the lad have to do?

Yeah, some smart-arse could say "Just retire and get out". But then, you could apply to any boxer someone doesn't like. They all have to start somewhere and try to move up. Why else are they there?

So, more Willy Limonds and Graham Earls it is then. Very seasoned.
