Mark Breland vs Thomas Hearns Footage.

Thanks its very rare footage and at that times its almost like looking at a mirror, because there both the same height/build ETC. Mark Breland does get shaken from a right hand in this footage.
And had they met at pros i can see it going like there sparring session. Both men try to establish the jab, but with Thomas Hearns finally landing that right hand putting Mark Breland away.
I know they both had suspect chins and Mark Breland could hit aswell, but i do think Mark Breland had a worse chin. And especially against Marlon Starling in there 1st meeting, his legs were weak he went to the canvas about 12 times.Comment

Breland actually looks a little taller than Hearns, you could see that Hearns had the better speed and was sharper with his punches, if they had fought in the pros, I would have picked Hearns by knockout, as you said, Breland's chin was shaky and his defense was a bit leaky but he could punch, especially with the right hand, which is the punch that is probably the most effective against HearnsThanks its very rare footage and at that times its almost like looking at a mirror, because there both the same height/build ETC. But I think as you said, Hearns would ultimately land his own right hand to knock Breland out because Breland had a habit of leaning in away throwing his right hand, which would have been disaster against Hearns, who liked to roll with his opponents' right hands and come back with his own, leaning in after throwing a right hand would have been bad for Breland.Comment
