Is that from experience Larry or is that straight out of one of your self-help books?

The question is a logical impossibility. When you win a fight, the other fighter is hurt economically.

that'd be the very last thing on my mind... if anything I'd follow B-Hop's regimen and his rule-bending ways in the ring...I rather hurt my opponent mentally..

Again remember the thing about the question is nobody gets hurt or finds out about it, but your family and you are better off for it, its just a thought. If you were struggling with bills and didnt have much to provide for your kids, you never know.

Maybe few people here have actually known poverty though and really had to struggle.

Ask yourself this, for all those righteous fellas here, would you keep five K if you found it in someones wallet late at night in a park with no one around? If you were in need of money and just happened across an opportunity like that, what you would do? Think about it first, don't just throw back the perceived right answer.
And I'd make the argument of the opposite. Someone who says they'd cheat automatically hasn't ever known the feeling of dignity and self respect that comes with doing the right thing and accomplishing something without cheating.

As for the wallet, it's not the same principle. I mean Margs trainer didn't just find some gloves with plaster in them. He put the **** in there. That'd be like you stealing the wallet, not finding it. Finding it is getting lucky, stealing it is cheating.

But for the sake of argument... put yourself in the other guy's shoes, assume it's your wallet and your money and you're looking all over for it. I'd want that 5k back, so I'd hope that whoever found it would try to find the rightful owner of it.

Unless of course it is his last fight and is guaranteed a certain purse no matter the outcome. That's how a lot of purse bids work now after all. win or lose doesn't matter.

Well of course, but go back and read the argument. The title says "If you are in need of money...." Someone offering you a **** load of money without anyone getting hurt seems like luck in my opinion, just the same as finding a wallet with lots of cash. It may be lucky, but you're ****ing someone over by taking it just the same as cheating. If you take their money you're giving them the job, plain and simple. You know it's someone elses and you know it's the wrong thing to do and that someone will be losing out because of it. That's not luck mate. If you see it as luck then you're more likely to cheat when it came to the crunch in my opinion. Finding a wallet is no different than finding a worthless piece of leather, but taking the money inside is stealing not luck, which is no different to cheating.

If your family is in need I think you get some pretty good self respect just out of keeping them going and happy. Staying righteous in a sporting event over keeping your family healthy and kept for is a cool thing, but, if you've never had a family before I would honestly say that wait until you've had a kid before thinking you would stay righteous in a sporting event over that.

If it was purely an individual wanting more money then it would be really easy to not bother with cheating, unless you were a money hungry bastard of course, but when you're at the top the determination that got you there will often see you do anything to keep you there, sad as that may be. It's very common.
