I said many times before, Margo doesn't like to be punched in the face. He covers up and his punch output is greatly reduced.

Moot point. Marg is going to court over loaded gloves, the verdict is not out. Until the allegations are confirmed. Someone that relies on heavy punches, for 100 plus rounds…would do much more damage then what you saw in the Cotto match.

i can't remember in what rounds of the fight, but he smiled at mosley and mosley jumped on him right away. He didn't do much smiling in the mosley fight.

If He had MORE natural power then maybe, but as you saw, Margarito has less than amazing power without the plaster, so to say Cotto should have looked worse with the Plaster is not necessarily so. The fact that Cotto was back peddling in round 2, to me is indicative that he was experiencing something that BIG punchers like Torres and Mosley were unable to bring to him.


Plaster. A superior fighter like Cotto beaing beatn by a BUM like Margarito.
