What the hell was with Teddy's card tonight?

Holy crap that was awful. I don't really like Urango, but those wide cards were almost dead on. There is no way Nguodjo won more than say three rounds that fight. I was yelling at the tv in pure frustration as Teddy kept giving the most absurd rounds to him. I was ranting to the two guys watching with me how these scores were going to come out wide for Urango and they'd claim controversy by the end of the tenth. I had that 118-108

The most absurd it all, maybe other than Teddy giving a 10-8 when there is no logical way to give anything other than a 10-7 in the third, was the seventh. That was the worst call I've ever heard in a fight broadcast. For the first two minutes of the round, Urango chases Herman rope to rope absolutely blistering him to the body. I mean it was one massive body flurry after another and NOTHING else happened. Ngoudjo was running for his life from those body shots. All of the sudden at that point Atlas starts criticizing Urango for not going to the body. What? The last minute of the round was the same. I don't know the compubox numbers, but all that happened that round was Urango murdering to the body and Teddy gives it to Ngoudjo. He didn't land a meaningful punch that entire round. 10-8 for Urango is too much, but it was damn well closer to that than it was 10-9 to Ngoudjo.

It was one of those fights that had widely divergent scores because there were a lot of close rounds that could have gone either way depending on what you like. Some people, myself included, had the fight much closer. 10-8 for Urango in the 3rd was crazy though, that was definitely 10-7.

I had it a wide UD for Urango myself. Teddy never gives Urango enough credit for the good stuff he does in there just because he looks kind of slow and swings wide.. but Urango happens to land a prety decent amount of those big ass swings because he gets close before throwing them. Plus, Teddy was getting on Juan for not throwing enough to the body but I saw him throw maybe 50% of his punches to the body so I don't know what the hell Atlas was on about???

Anyway, I gave the fight to Urango wide because he was clearly landing the heavier shots thoughout. No controversy here, Urango won big.
