I'd label Vitali a "near" great. I'd place him a few notches below a more famous (and well respected) near-great like Mike Tyson.

One thing I'll say in Vitali's defense, I don't want it to seem like I'm a Klitschko hater : I'm not.

Had he not retired for the near 4 years that he did, and faced injury setbacks along the road back, he would've been seriously close to ATG by now.

But instead, he retired.
