I don't put a lot of stock in what boxrec has scheduled, cuz I have seen it wrong too many times.

Arreola-Peter would be a very nice step up for Arreola and could propel him into a main event shot sooner rather than later if he keeps fighting and winning against punchers.

I know that BoxRec gets ahead of itself sometimes and posts fights before they are finalized (Wlad vs. Haye is a good example).

But I heard Arreola will be fighting on the April 11 HBO card from other sources first, and then I checked BoxRec. When I made this thread, I included the word "likely"...

Seems like Arreola's name is thrown in there with everyone everywhere these days.

Hopefully Arreola will face Peter, Thompson, Boswell, Chambers, or Johnson. Most likely whoever brings the most money and HBO accepts so one of bolded.

If I was Arreola's manager I would be very leery of putting Chris in with a big puncher like Peter so soon after what happened with Walker. A better choice of an opponent would be someone like Maskaev, Johnson, Toney, Boswell, or Mccline...

As a boxing fan, I would welcome a Peter-Arreola fight and think it would be wildly entertaining while it last...

I highly doubt Arreola will fight Peter at an undercard, specially PW vs Winky, there will not be enough money available for this fight to be made.

I think Goossen will put Arreola on the card to help increase the public interest but the opponent should be someone like Minto at best.

Anyway, if Peter vs Arreola is made it will be the main event, atract quite a lot of interest, I believe it could be a US$ 4 million fight and both camps would want to squeeze in every penny possible out of it.

It's a fight that makes sense for both sides, can be a mandatory eliminator, makes sense financially and both Klitchkos should be busy till July anyway.
