    Shane Mosley's destruction of Margarito.

I just watched the fight again and I'm noticing even more so
now than when I saw it live how one sided this fight actually was.
IMO Mosley did what Cotto was supposed to do but failed to execute,
he had a solid plan and he systematically broke Margarito down. That huge right bomb to the stomach in the very first round, dang! Any how, aside from the body attack and holding on the inside, do you guys see anything else that gave Shane such a lopsided victory while so many others have been dominated by Marg?
I'd like to hear opinions excluding the pending investigation of the wraps, that doesn't serve as an reason as the results are pending.

Also known as Margarito's self-inflicted destruction.

I think his mentality helped a lot. He came right at Margarito, and didn't run. He stood his ground, and managed to overpower Margarito inside (One of the most suprising aspects IMO). Also, the combination of his power and fantastic speed, I think the face Marg couldn't see the punches coming as well probably increased their effect on him.

Solid point, I think I rarely saw Shane moving backward.
I can only recall seeing him move to the ropes once or twice.

Mosley's destruction of Margarito ranks right up there with Hopkin's destruction of Trindad, Lewis' destruction of Tyson, Mayweather's destruction of Corrales, Pacquio's destruction of both Morales and Barrera, and Calzhage's destruction of Lacy as the greatest single fight dominations of this decade. Mosely was simply Picasso that night. Margarito would have needed a gun to beat him

he also stayed off the ropes and and jabbed margarito with hard jabs to the body and the head instead of flicking range finder jabs
