It's just not a comparable situation because Collins Jr suffered permanent damage that ended his boxing career.
I'd like to see these pictures from which you derived that opinion.

The evidence is pretty compelling when you think about it. A foreign obect was removed from the wraps, bagged up as evidence and sealed in a box so that it could not be tampered with. For there to be anything foreign, that's being caught red handed. And for Tony to shrug it off like he didn't know, is feigning ignorance. The guy has been a pro for over 15 years, and he's trying to tell us he doesn't know the difference between legal wrappings and having an object placed on your knuckles?

In the end, he would probably save more face by coming clean and issuing an apology for his actions. Denying it and being found guilty will leave him looking like a scumbag. If he tried to show some sort of good faith, his legacy will be partially redeemed, if not his career than as a person.

I'm not a Cotto fan but he was pretty busted up & Cotto is a durable fighter & Margarito is not that skilled & the few times he caught Cotto he hurt him pretty bad.

I've seen Cotto hurt, wobbled, shaky, dazed but he always came back to fight & I give him credit for that. Cotto took some pretty heavy power shots from Shane Mosley & stood his ground in there match & wasn't busted up like that even with Judah he got busted up but came back. With Margarito he didn't want No more? It ain't my job to pass judgment but I think he got caught red handed cheating & did it before. He was nothing special in the ring so had to make up for something. All of this is just my honest opinion but I feel Antonio Margarito is guilty. If ****m Richardson felt his wraps & was concerned & then the block fell out & had dried blood on it? Come on! He should get disciplined because he could have permanently hurt Cotto & attempted to hurt Shane Mosley severely.
        You said it perfectly.

During the fight Collins had suffered a torn iris and permanently blurred vision, which prevented him from boxing again.

Come on guys, stop comparing Collins to Cotto. They were nothing alike, Collins was much more damaged.

Maybe if you read the article you might notice that it's not us comparing Collins and Cotto, it's Collins Sr.

I read the article, but clearly this guy is traumatized by the whole situation. The amount of damage is not comparable, anyone with eyes can see that. You guys hear someone say something that aids your case and your blindly running with it.

Like I said before, I would rather take his word for it than yours.

Pretty much sums it up. I can NOT take anything away from Margarito's chin and will. Cotto dropped hammers on him the entire fight, and while his face swelled he just kept moving forward. The shots he dropped on Cotto were doing a lot more damage than you'd think they should.
