Meanwhile, promoter Bob Arum said yesterday that "The Tijuana Tornado" did not commit any illegal act that would jeopardize his career and at the same time, confident that eventually will be exonerated of the accusations made by the California Athletic Commission.

Arum reiterated that he would be willing to put he`s hands over the fire for Margarito, but not necessarily for the trainer Javier Capetillo.

"I know Margarito, and I know the whole situation, I have no doubt that good, will come of this whole situation," said Arum in the early hours by telephone from Las Vegas. "About Capetillo Im not too sure,I dont feel to confident, "he added.

Im not suprised, but this doesnt change anything if hes guilty he should be fined and suspended for the rest of the year regardless.

I agree, I get the feeling that if the findings come back that he did indeed have plaster inserted in his wraps, Capetillo will take all the blame which is wrong because Margarito must have known something was up with those wraps.

Most of the blame should go on the trainer though, because they are the ones that tell what their fighters to do and wrap their hands.

I semi-feel bad for Margarito, even though he's a cheater, because I can totally picture a scenario where his trainer, with whom he trusts, tells him to use these wraps that will make him punch harder. I can see a fighter just doing what their trainer says and trusting them.

So, if found guilty, I'd like to see something like one year suspension for Margarito, 3 to 10 year suspension for his trainer. Something like that would be fair.

LOL..Andre Berto couldn't even convincingly beat Collazo. Collazo was his first real test and most would say that fight should've gone to Luis. Not to say Collazo isn't a good fighter but he's not exactly cotto either.

I could hit you with a ROLL of Duct Tape and it would NOT have the effect of PLASTER. Tito hits hard, you see it in his body mechanics. Margarito throws like a girl and somehow, he had power?? Plaster.

Tito was the real thing. Margarito was trying to be Tito and EVEN with plaster, he could not KO Cotto. Cotto took a knee to avoid the plaster. He knew something was special about those punches that he had not felt with Mosley, Torres nor Kelson Pinto. All of which were KO artist mind you.
