Nasim said the wraps were too tight, and when they went to remove them, the substance fell out.

Which was confirmed by the Chairman of the California Athletic Commission....
" A foreign substance was found by California State Athletic Commission staff in the hand wraps of Antonio Margarito before his bout against Shane Mosley at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The substance found in Margarito’s hand wraps is currently being analyzed by the California Department of Justice. An investigation as to whether either licensee violated CSAC rules is ongoing. Mr. Margarito and Mr. Capetillo have been asked to appear at an initial hearing scheduled for February 10, 2009.”
So apparently the subtance was in the hand wraps, and not visible from the outside. Margarito removing his wraps in the ring (if he was indeed loading his gloves) would have more than likely exposed what he may have been doing. Nazeem is known to check other fighter's wraps. Apparently Marg's camp didn't get the memo.
Its logical that if he's caught using an illegal substance that chances are he may have used it before.
Its like a baseball player who's caught using a corked bat, the logical assumption is that its not the 1st time he's ever used a corked bat. You shouldn't be surprised people are speculating, and it's not just Cotto fans either from what I've seen on here.Comment

i agree with this post...margo beat cotto period and if anything was in margies wrap is cottos camp fault for not being able to notice it.
what i couldnt understand was the part that cotto could have handle margarito like a true warrior....
for me he did all he could... and handle the loss like a true champion. maybe the warrior **** means that you need to get ko if you are going to loose in order to be a true warrior...
cotto handle his loss better than margie in all matters.. even that everyone its especulating about the wraps and even kermit cintron has coming out bitching and wanting the commision to stay in touch with them.. cottos camp havnt say ****!!!

first i was thinking that screw margie..... about a rematch with cotto... but now i know its gonna be a pretty damn good fight!!! and the outcome maybe not be the same and we for sure have bombs over bagad... MARGIE VS COTTO II make it happen!!
