Margarito confirmed that this was a common practise for Latino fighters:

Margarito also made allegations about upcoming title challenger Marco Antonio Rubio, stating that the white patches under Rubio's arms and on his face were caused by "Marco betraying his mucho Mexican culture by trying to take a sneaky bath."
Antonio informed the site that there was now bad blood between himself and Rubio and considered Marco "not a true Mexican."
