This should've been at Wembley, for real. If we're going by the logic of Wlad's fans, the champ should've demanded this fight happen in England - 'cause he's the champ, innit?

While Paul Williams is pushed out of the top 10 rankings for beating previously ranked #41 Verno Phillips and #55 Carlos Quintana. Even though Paul Williams was ranked ahead of Hatton, #12 and Hatton was #13. An effort to promote and sell Pac-Hatton? I feared this would start being the case when DLH bought "The Ring".
You're being paranoid. The Ring's P4P ratings are not set by the magazine, they are set by a large panel of highly respected boxing experts, who do not work for The Ring (and who include one of the Boxingscene.com writers).

Both résumés are overblown in the article, but I guess they have to hype the fight. I do wish people would stop comparing Pac with Henry Armstrong though, I think it disrespects Armstrong, who held the undisputed world championship at three weights simultaneously. If Pac were to beat Hatton, and then either clean up at Lightweight or at Welterweight, then the comparison would become meaningful. But David Diaz wasn't the top Lightweight when Pac beat him, and DLH wasn't rated at Welterweight at all when he fought Pac, never mind being the top one. Not taking away from Pac's achievements, but I really think it's wrong to compare him with Armstrong.

Sorry about that. Well the LA Times says:
Brisk ticket sales are guaranteed Friday when seats become available for the junior-lightweight fight between Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines and England's Ricky Hatton on May 2 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Promoters just announced that tickets priced at $150, $300, $500, $750 and $1,000 will go on sale at 10 a.m. Pacific time through Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations at (702) 474-4000, at www.mgmgrand.com and www.ticketmaster.com. Select Smith's Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino locations in Las Vegas also will offer tickets.

The LA Times article says they don't go on sale until Friday, so they've got plenty of time to update their website before that. I doubt the promoters would have given the LA Times false information about this.
