I know... a writer blindly defending writers... that's really far-fetched.

They'd be ****** to run PETA or anti-war commercials. A boxing writer is digging his own grave if he supports theories on fight fixing and constant foul play in the sport. Rafael has people who go over his articles before they get posted to make sure he doesn't **** where he sleeps.
I have happily dug "my own grave" in the past then for stating my belief that I had witnessed a fixed fight and would happily do so again. My loyalty is not to promoters, it's to my readership. Without the media, boxing promoters would be out of business.

Rafael, and a lot of other writers, are reporting on a story that Margarito had loaded hand wraps, so I guess he's ****ting where he sleeps with Top Rank. After all, a suspended or banned fighter can't make Top Rank any money.

If a boxing promoter shuns ESPN, they are committing career suicide.

I'm sorry if I can't support a theory that nobody with an ounce of credibility is willing to entertain.

Ninja Chicken however is on the level and a big fan of the sport.

Very true, ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away. If it was possible to write one article and rid the sport of corruption, there would be a line around the block of journalists trying to get that story.

I have no ulterior motive, they don't pay my bills. I have never even attended a Top Rank promoted show. I've been to Dibella Entertainment shows and questioned decisions that went in favor of Dibella fighters openly.

Trust me, if I thought a fight was fixed, I'd go out and say it. Of course I'd have to have evidence because I'd be sued for libel. Luckily for some fans, there audience is not broad enough to warrant libel suits.

a majority of boxing writers try to give boxers justice... for instance many boxing writers believed that santa cruz got robbed by casamayor

I have gone on the record and expressed myself when I felt a fight wasn't on the up and up. And this fight occurred in the state I live in, I have to see people involved with that fight almost daily. I am not on the verge of retirement and I don't have a book deal in the works.
