    Mosley/Margarito stoppage WAY TOO LATE

Caiz (sp?) should be FIRED. What's with these refs waiting forever to stop a fight? Margarito took 15+ punches that he didn't need to. Ridiculous. That could be the difference between a fighting another day and brain damage. Caiz should be fired. **** him

    Great performance by Mosley.

I agree. They should'nt have let him come out for the 9th and when Mosley jumped right on him I was yellin for the stoppage. It was a little late.

However, I think Caiz is a good ref.

Too late, but not way too late. He coulda halted it at the end of the 8th when he got knocked down. He only made it thru about 40 seconds of the 9th before it was called.

No. Blame the corner. There is NO WAY they should've let him even sit in the corner for the 60 seconds. Cold water does absolutely nothing.

On the strength of that, I think the trainer/camp should be banned from training fighters in America. They're methods had a potential to kill either fighter. Keep that **** in Mexico.

His corner should of not let him out but what can you do its a catch 22

the ref should of stepped in when mosley started to connect again in the 10th
But lets face it i know safety comes first but they would of starved us from a beauty
          of a finish from Mosley

Normally I'd agree on it just being a little late, but judging by the ferocity of punches that Mosley was landing, and the glass-eyes of Margarito, it was way too late in my opinion. He took flush bombs that any ref in their right mind would have stopped the damn fight. I can understand if you're seeing alot of blows deflected etc and you still think the champion has a shot to come back. But to me Caiz displayed horrible judgment on both accounts, and it could cost a fighter his career.

To me, 20 unanswered punches in the 9th round is way too late!!

Javier did take the blame for this. Tony didn't want to go out like that!

At least the corner had the smarts to throw in the towel in the 9th, which by the way Caiz didn't even acknowledge for **** sake. I'm sorry but you can't blame the corner entirely. It's the refs responsibility at that point to step in and call the contest, and when a guy is completely out of it and his corner has him answer the bell, you better be on your **** so when he takes 1,2,3 flush shots, it's game over. Not 15-20 ****ing punches.

Well it's either that or Terry O'Connor, who bumps in with his fat belly and stops it way too early (Calzaghe-Manfredo)
